Ted Snyder co-wrote this with Francis B. Wheeler and Harry B. Smith in 1922 (this was the same songwriting team that wrote "The Shiek of Araby" a year earlier), and it proved to be a hit - nearly every label issued a
recorded version. This is Arthur Lange's waxing for Cameo, recorded on the 22nd of August in 1922. Arthur's band worked extensively for Cameo, making slightly "hotter" versions of hits than one would find on the comparatively
conservative Victor or Columbia sides, and he stays true to form here giving us a thoroughly danceable and listenable performance. The original owner thought so as well, nearly playing this side to death, and while noise
reduction can't promise miracles it does make a worthy improvement.
