Mort Dixon and Ray Henderson wrote this song in 1926 - radio and stage performer Aileen Stanley became known for it, and this resulted in some other labels releasing their own versions. This is a recording by the venerable Sam Lanin and his band, for Domino Records and
their brand-new electrical recording equipment, and the venerable Irving Kaufman tackles the vocals with his usual stoic furvor. Red Nichols may be doing the trumpet solo here - whoever does it, it's a pretty snappy solo. The surface started out a little noisy, but cleaned
up well. (Another sound sample of Lanin's Troubadours, from a few years later, can be found at the Red Hot Jazz Archive.)
