"All Muddled Up"

by Joseph Knecht's Waldorf-Astoria Dance Orchestra

Percy Wenrich, composer of many hits throughout the 'teens (such as "Where Do We Go From Here" and "Moonlight Bay"), composed this song in 1922 and it would prove to be his last hit song. This performance, by one of the many hotel orchestras that recorded for Edison Labs, is as well-balanced and natural sounding as any of their waxings. This particular copy was quite clean, and didn't need much in the way of noise reduction. (For more info about Percy Wenrich, see "parlormusic.com".)
