One of the many Yiddish-esque records that followed Joe Hayman's classic "Cohen At The Telephone", this
Edison recording by obscure Vaudeville comedian Dave Martin is an interesting glimpse of a time when automobiles were new and trouble-prone. Some of the jokes are very corny, but there's no slander in it and it's an enjoyable record. This sample comes
from the cylinder, which is a different take than the Diamond Disc issue in 1916. The surface was a little scratchy, but cleaned up well during noise reduction treatment.
