Fred Fisher, best known for writing the jazz standard "Chicago (that Toddling Town)", attempted to capitalize on a momentary trend in song titles that had an exclamation before the name (such as "Oh Helen", "Oh Katharina", "Oh
Johnny, Oh Johnny, Oh," and "Oh Harold"). It didn't get a lot of exposure: in fact, this is the only recording I've ever found of it. The anonymous (but good) Atlantic Dance Orchestra recorded it for Edison Labs on August 3 of 1923.
One of their members occasionally states the title in a falsetto which is an amusing highlight. It's an ensemble piece, so there's no solos as such, but the ride-out at the end is quite nice. The surface of this record was nearly
perfect and only needed to have rumble removed.
