Driver's side floorpan E400 showing, body in progress
Rotted floors get replaced with new floor pans - nice view of the Edsel dashboard & teletouch here. (Radio was removed for service.) Front clip completely removed to access and paint the hidden areas, revealing the E-400 engine with maybe 10,000 miles on it at the time.
Driver's side rear fender work Passenger side rear fender work
During the rear fender repair work; rusted metal has been cut away and is here in the process of being replaced with new metal. The only way to go. Fender on the passenger side required complete removal; replacement of the inside panels is shown here, and eventually the Edsel rear fender would be tacked onto the body.
Passenger side floorpan Area behind front fender, passenger side
Passenger side footwell was just as bad as the driver's side; this shows original rusty floorpan removed. Note "Ranchero" script on glovebox, from early 70's. Treating the area behind the front fender; thankfully no cancer was found here, but surface rust was treated and area was reprimed & painted before front fenders were installed.
Sitting outside in primer
Waiting outside after fender work for more primer & sanding. Bed had already been primed after being taken down to bare metal at sandblasters.
