This cheerful little song, written by Con Conrad (also known for "Margie" and "The Continental") and Sidney Clare (co-wrote "You're My Thrill" and "Miss Anabelle Lee"), was about a bashful girl being aggressively wooed and was a runaway hit in the
summer of 1921. Furman and Nash recorded this version for Columbia within weeks of its publication in July of that year. Besides being a spirited performance, it is the only version I've heard which includes both verses and alternate chorouses. There's
some groove stress near the end, from being enjoyed in its time, but this disc responded pretty well to noise treatment.
