Proving that white bands could and did put "jazz flavor" into just about anything, this is a rather famous polka tune written by John A. Bassett and M. Werner-Kerston. Sam Lanin and his band whipped up an dance-band arrangement for this
tune and recorded this side for Gennett in July of 1922. It works, in a quirky way, especially when they let it all hang out in the last 45 seconds. The record itself had been treated roughly in its life though, with some noise reduction
